A lurker here. First time to post. Have been following the various posts concerning Standardization, TE, etc. an need clarification on several points. My CS generator, (own design) is of the constant current variety, (1ma. max) with a 30V source. When I make 16oz of CS I normally get a weak TE at about 30 minutes. I normally run for 1 hour, let the batch settle for 24 hrs. or so before filtering and bottling. I have never had my CS tested so have no idea what concentration I am producing. The TE using a 635-680nm laser is VERY pronounced an the TE using a penlight forms a beautiful cone which is also quite turbid. Am I seeing particles which are at LEAST >= 635-680nm in size when using the laser pointer? I interpreted from one post that if the particles are smaller then 635-680 nm than the laser would not show them; did I interpret this correctly? What am I seeing when using the penlight with regards to particle size? If, when using the laser, I see particles which are => 635-680nm would they NOTbe bioavailable since they would be much larger than what is required, ie., .001 - .015 um? Thanks for your response.
