Dear Mary
I have Myalgic Encephalitis too, that is the Canadian and European word for
fibromyalgia. I had a very good kinesiologist and another one and a
conventional physical therapist tell me I have at some time had polio, and
the two kinesiologists traced it to a live vaccine I was forced to take 27
years ago with my first pregnancy. It was the live polio vaccine. Since I
was pregnant at the time my 27 year old daughter also seems to have this
disorder. What a lot of people are being diagnosed with as fibromyalgia and
ME, and CFIDS is really post-polio syndrome. The HEALTH SCIENCES INSTITUTE
has had a number of members get good results using Olive leaf extract and
colostrum. It has lessoned my muscle wasting symptoms quite a bit. I have
never heard of EDTA therapy causing a problem with bismuth buildup in the
brain. I have heard that in the early days when it was done too fast a few
people died of kidney failure as the lead poisoning they were treated for
came out too fast and damaged the kidneys and other deaths were cause by
eletrical malfunction when too many electrolytes were pulled. That is why
modern chelationists also give you minerals in an IV to replace what the
EDTA pulls out.
Believe in yourself and keep trying things, and you will get well. I must
admit though that my own fibromyalgia has been nearly intractable and
resistant to everything I have thrown against it. But I am still looking
for things that might help. Rebounding seems to help. I had to stop because
I hurt my back recently, but I am almost ready to start using the rebounder
again. Rebounders are great.
