Hi all, Was at the High school last night for Parents Day. Was talking with English teacher and mentioned the term wog. We ended up in the schools big dictionary looking for it, and find it we did.
Had six listing for WOG, will only give three here, as having meaning in the recent posts. 1. Australian term for "pathogenic microorganism", slang derived from polliwog, as in small swimming creatures. Derived from old British Navy term for beginner, small, or worthless. 2. Disparaging term for dark skinned persons in Mediterranean and Far Eastern oriental countries. Originated by British Navy sailors. 3. With Other Goods (WOG), used on bills of lading.
