We have talked about CS being used internally, topically, and as a CS bandage. If one were to soak surgical masks in the CS solution, and process in the same manner as a CS bandage, would the CS mask also be effective in preventing (or killing) airborne bacteria or viruses? Would the CS mask decrease the amount of bacteria entering the lungs (nose) or the mouth (through breathing). Have any studies been done with respect to the use of CS in this manner?
