Hi Marshall and everyone, I just recently ran across a paper saying that tea plants have the highest concentration of fluorides of any plant; especially green tea. That figures; green tea is said to be good for preventing decay. The belief must have originated from the erroneous belief that fluorides enhance dental health. The figures indicate that the concentration in regular and green tea is many times higher than the MCL set by the FDA, and is thousands of times higher that the allowed concentration of F in drinking water allowed in most European countries.
I have assiduously avoided drinking tap water for several years, to escape the fluorides. I also drink about 4 cups of Earl Grey a day, or did until I read the article. Have you heard anything about oral chelation for fluoride? Thanks in advance. If this is a concern then get rid of the mercury. It is pretty easy now with some of the good oral chelations available. See the archives for the link to the one I used.
