Pau d'Arco is the most reliable immune booster - which after the initial 14 days of taking it every day - 2 x 500 mg capsules can be reduced to one capsule every 3 days. It increases the ability of the blood to carry oxygen and is valuable in treating various diseases because of that ability. If you are taking your precautionary dose of CS daily, your arsenal of home remedies against the flu really only needs Echinacea lozenges for when you feel a sore throat - you should only need to take one - keep some always on hand. Then on that same day you feel low and flu-ey or whatever, make yourself a total from 1 - 3 cups of tea to drink throughout that same day, by which time you should no longer feel you are coming down with something. Stop taking Echinacea once you feel fine and wonder if you hadn't just imagined it all. More than three days on Echinacea and you are wasting your money - it is only effective for the first 3 days - then the body treats it as just normal and no more special effective results occur. H2O2 in the ears regularly - especially if you fee you have a sore throat. Stay well, Judith.
