Well, I just bought a Beck stye zapper from Sota Instruments.
It IS well made, and I liked the idea that they use a voltage multiplier circuit
to up the voltage instead of relying on a bunch of batteries.
It comes with the velcroed harnesses that make it convenient to use.
I had MADE a Hulda Clarke type zapper, but I think Don Croft doesn't charge very
much for his, so it would be cost effective to purchase rather than build.
These are two very different devices so I suggest a search on Sota Instruments
and one on Don Croft for up to date info.
I've got these as first-aid-kit devices so as to have them before the FDA puts
'em out of business. It's already happened to Jaguar Enterprises.
