Hmm.  The Zappers I made, using the exact circuit shown on that WWW
site, were not effective for me when using 9 volts.  12 volts is
effective and 13.5 volts even better.

Also, I haven't tried the effectiveness of using two electrodes so
close together -- the original Zapper is supposed to have the "wands"
held in each hand so the electric mini-current flows through the body.
Croft's zapper spaces the electrodes in a similar way to the Beck
device (though with a much lower voltage).
