Ron, IF you get tick bites a lot, which I do too as I too love puttering in woods and gardens. There is a type of spring loaded tweezers just for ticks sold in kits with a magnifiying gladss and a container to keep the ticks in just in case. The springloaded mechanizm of the special tweezers allows you to safely remove ticks without reatined parts as the spring holds the tweezer blades on the tick so you can twirl the tweezers in a circle and the vortex action removes them clean and almost pain-free. I value my set more than gold as I used to have to heat sewing needles till they glowed and toucht them to ticks to make them back out, and often the heat would go trhought the darn tick and burn me as well.
