Hello Tom Moody;

I reply to your post about constant current generation, I will answer your
questions and then some!!!

When I see things like this my curiosity gets the best of me, so I took 4
ounces of tap water that had been
filtered with a Brita filter and setup 9 volts 1 1/2" spacing, measured the
current and ran it for 5 minutes.

These are the results:

The initial conductivity in microSeimens (uS) was 799 uS after five minutes it
was 778 uS.
The current ran between 20.6 to 21.3 ma. A tyndall was evident within 30
seconds.

The silver chloride started to form with in several seconds, and the whole
thing turned milky.

The surprise came when I checked the ppm. Believe it or not it cheched out at
39.6 PPM!!!!!!

However I will leave it to the Gurus to say whether or not it is fit to drink.
Personally I would not use it as I do not know
what else is in the solution.

The question is does it contain silver flouride as well as silver chloride????
What else is in your city water?

The MS/m is the conductance of the water in microSeimens.

I need a US mail address.
