Personally, I don't see how BIG PHARMA could possibly make money on it, so what I'm proposing will no doubt rock the boat a little. But little ripples on the water can combine to make a powerful force.
As far as planning into the future, the plan operates very simply, using already well-known technique and technology. Based on guaranteed rights and freedoms, (freedom of speech), (freedom of belief), and incorporating the latest technology (Internet), all that's needed to put the plan into motion is a little concerted effort. The old adage 'if you're not with us, then you're agin' us!' has never been more true. That is, once we start getting the word out, there are no options for big business but to follow, as people will be healthier and less in need of of current medical practices that do not work. The ideals of people healing themselves and not becoming ill so much in the first place are already growing, and helping to hone that directional focus is all that is really required. As the manufacture of the devices goes, though some are suppressed there will always be somone around the corner that can make a few. Many if not most of the devices can be fairly simply put together using off-the-shelf components and very modest knowledge, putting the technology in the hands of the people where it belongs. So, the main thrust of PAWA is to ensure the public always has access to device plans and other alternative information. PAWA will provide, through funding by donation, various educational activities aimed at increasing awareness. The ideals of the HealthShield Network will be met by utilizing the force of a supportive informed community that makes up the information pool, and such covert operations are deemed necessary to achieve the street-level deployment. The covert aspect should appeal to a large number of individuals, as it can employ all the tricks of the drug trade or other proven underground methods. The web site will be well-stocked with information and links to manufacters, if they're brave enough, or a way to reach operatives (duly ordained to gain religious privacy). Focusing the health freedoms sensibilities AND the 'big brother' paranoia of people worldwide into a semi-organized resistance movement is neither illegal nor a bad idea. Instead, it is merely excercising our rights to choose, to lead or be led. So the word will spread on its own, largely through 'viral marketing' techniques, a verifiably successful method already employed by MLMs worldwide. Everyone who knows the options that work won't hesitate to tell others, and those who benefit by it will also tell others, and so on... Using the Web we can now communicate in dozens of languages. The irony is that we can empower and organize ourselves now better than ever because we've recently had all the tools required to do so put right into our hands. So I would say this particular "peoples' move" is inevitable. The timing and all the other components have lined up nicely to facilitate it. I don't think Big Biz can do much but focus their efforts on treatments or drugs that are actually helpful, or refine and patent the devices. And that may not be all that bad. There may be room for everyone. The genius of such would be in some way reconcilable and compatible with natural science - neither discrediting the nor discredited by the latter. Modern science/knowledge is not only all about experimentation, mathematics, or what is rational or logical. It is the formulation of conduct. Religious belief is not only about God or divinities, it is also about rules for action, moral judgment, and more about religion as a way of living. Together, knowledge and belief constitutes the person and aids him in formulating a sketch of his future.
