OK I have to jump in here... have to; 9 years ago I almost died as a result 
of a butchered hysterectomy job by a "leading" OB/GYN in Atlanta.  No need to 
go into gory details here, but I abscessed internally and was told nothing 
was wrong.  I finally had the good sense to seek out a plain old general 
practioner.  Who wanted to know - Who did this to you.  He said in another 
month I would have been dead.  

Moral of the story, Barb - is right, try all the alternatives BEFORE 
invasion.  It just might save your life, maybe not your pocketbook, but your 
life.
