i get my bulbs from wally world for about $5 each and they look just like regular bulbs. truely full spectrum or just a skosh off, doesn't seem to matter that much with SAD. the good old garden variety non spotlight type of grow bulb seems to provide enough of whats missing during the summer months to alleviate the problem. put them in lamps where you spend some time every day or night. i use them as overheads. best of luck.
