Thanks Marshall and everyone else who has helped me with this project. I just got off the phone with the local Neon Sign shop and they are going to sell me a neon sign transformer 120/15000V 60ma for $140. He was naturally curious about what I wanted it for. I told him I wanted it to make a Colloidal Silver Generator and he wanted to know what that was. I then told him that it is a product of Distilled water, 2 pieces of pure silver (1 if it's from a DC source) and the voltage applied to the silver puts a current through the water and suspends microscopic particles of silver in the water. This solution kills bacteria dead, better than any antibiotic and with none of the side effects of antibiotics. I told him that before antibiotics silver was being used for this purpose and many people were rediscovering this and benefitting from it. When he heard I have an electrical background from being a US Navy electrician he seemed to take the attitude: "To each his own". I don't think he's going to want to know any more about how to make CS with HVAC/ARC method, but he's going to sell me a transformer anyway.
Now you've got me curious. What is a Jacobs ladder?
