It's been reported in this list that some people are putting colloidal silver in their milk. It can't hurt and probably helps a whole bunch! However, it doesn't have an effect on the Monsanto Chemical increased hormones in the milk. In any event it appears that the word on dairy products is getting out. Just received this post from Robert which is quite interesting. Regards: Robert Bartell
Dear Friends, The wholesale price of milk has never been lower. Eighteen months ago, farmers were receiving nearly $18 for 100 pounds of milk ($18 per hundredweight). Today, they net $8.50 per hundredweight, and the future looks dim. Last year, producers were selling blocks of cheese for $1.44. Today, cheese is selling for 98 cents per pound. When I began the AntiDairy Coalition four years ago, there were 240,000 dairy farms in America. Today there are 83,000, and I just don't see how many thousands more will avoid bankruptcy this winter. Future prices (commodities) reflect no optimism for the dairy farmers of America. June futures are under $10. People are consuming less milk, and dairymen continue to inject their cows with dangerous genetically engineered hormones. This leads to a market in which more milk is supplied as demand decreases. Is something wrong with this picture? I recently lectured with Ralph Nader in Washington, DC to a group of dairy farmers. Imagine me getting a standing ovation from milk producers? On that day, Nader and I both shared an opinion and a vision: Genetically engineered milk hormones are dangerous for cows, consumers, and the financial future of dairy farmers. One day, we will have just factory farms with hormone-fed stressed animals. That day will bring America closer to a time when nobody will eat the toxin-laden flesh of animals nor drink their body fluids. I am off to San Diego. Be back late Sunday. Robert Cohen
