                                                               Cytological
Studies.


      The     influence   of    magnetic    field    and   electromagnetic
radiation  on living
organisms  has   been studying     for a long period of time.  The
traditional  scheme  of
experiments   in    this   field   of    science  includes magnetic field
source with variable
parameters  and   an object (animal, cell culture, etc.).
The  main  principle  of    our   experiments    is  the  influence   of
magnetic field on the
system which  consists  of  the   isolated   cell   layer in  a   definite
physiological  state
 and a living organism.
       In   experiment    two     animals      (Ttichogaster trichopterus)
were         placed
in     separate     containers   with   installed   permanent    magnets
(100 mT).   On the
surface   of   the   magnet    in  one of   the   containers the cell layer
which  consisted of
cells   of a certain type was located. Animals were exposed  to  static
magnetic field in
different series of experiments.     The  time  of  exposition  was 2 hours
in experimental
and control groups.
        Two     series    of      experiments    were     carried    out
to    reveal    the   main
 principle   of   magnetic  field influence in correspondence with
elaborated scheme.
1. On the surface   of   permanent   magnet       fixed   neural   cell
smear was located  in
experiment.      After    the   exposition   time  the   state     of
neural   cells,   muscular
cells  and   intestinal   glandular   cells    was     studied    by
means    of    cytological
method including morphometry.
      The results revealed the development     of   dystrophical processes
in neural cells  in
experiment.
          Morphometry results (mean quantities) :

           The    decrease of     nucleus    volumes   in   experiment
was   about  8 per cent
   comparing with  control  group.
   All other tissues and cells were intact.

2.   On    the  surface  of   permanent   magnet    a    special
construction   containing
 a section of intestinal  mucosa (tissue culture) was located.  After   the
exposition time
the     state    of     intestinal     mucosa    glandular   cells   was
examined by means of
cytological   method.      The   following     results   were  obtained:
the increase of
morphofunctional    activity   in   intestinal  glandular  cells and the
signs of increasing
 proliferative activity   were
observed.
        Morphometry results :  the decrease of nucleus volumes in
experiments comparing
   with control group  made up 8,11 per cent.  All other tissues were intact
too.
        The     experiments   revealed    the    possibility   of
constant   magnetic   field  to
    transfer  (transcribe)
   the information   about   the   state  of  cell  structures  from  one
cell group to another.
   This phenomenon was called the biological   electromagnetic
transcription.  The effect
   is  tissue-specific.     The   theoretical  basis of  presented
phenomenon is   still   not
   worked  out.    It is closely related to the field quantum theory.

                                         Magnetic Field Influence on Living
Organisms -
                                                         Morphological
Studies.

      The    work    was    undertaken    to   reveal   a   new   possible
mechanism  of  cell
interactions    in     constant   magnetic   field     in  the   level   of
living  organism.  In
experiment  animals  of   various   species         (hamsters,
Trichogaster trichopterus,
Macropodus opercularis)  were  placed  in  containers  with installed
permanent magnets
on the surface of  which  the   microscopic   sections  of  diverse
tissues   were  located
in various experiments. The results were evaluated by means of histological
studies
including morphometry and cytophotometry.
       In     animals   the    cell    types   analogous     to    those  of
microscopic   sections
exhibited   the decrease of  morphofunctional activity   and  development
of   dystrophy.
Parallel  control  studies  included  exposure of  animals to static
magnetic field without
installation of tissue microscopic sections.    Under   these   conditions,
magnetic  field
had not any analogous effect.
      On  the  whole  the  main     principle  of  experiments  is  the
influence of magnetic
 field    on   the  system   which   consists  of   the   isolated    cell
layer    in  a  definite
 physiological  state  and   living  organism.
     The   effectiveness   of    magnetic     therapy can be explained to
some extent by the
 presented   phenomenon.

Electromagnetic Information System
in Mammals

The possibility of information transmission from cell to cell by photons has
been presently proved. Thus, in case of only optical contact in the system
consisting of two tissue cultures if one of them is damaged  by an extreme
agent and cytopathic process develops, the same morphological picture is
observed in another culture too.
The problems of possible functioning of electromagnetic information channels
in vivo are not sufficiently explored. Their existence is most probable in
central nervous system as the main co-ordinating formation. Here I show the
possibility of use of a retina as a component of central nervous system for
the introduction of information about the state of different cell
structures. A supposition was suggested that during the light beam passage
through the cell layer in a definite physiological state it can change its
spatial configuration in the level of quantum groups and get the information
about the present state of the cells. Getting upon the retina the
transformed quantum beam realizes the biological control function to some
extent similar to the effect in vitro described above.
An attempt to influence upon the retina of a hamster by a  light beam
passing through the microscopic section of necrobiotically altered hamster's
skin was made. In experiment two animals were placed in separate darkened
containers in either of which there was an aperture in the side wall. The
light from an artificial source penetrated into the containers through the
apertures. On one of them the microscopic section of necrobiotically altered
hamster's skin  was fixed. The hamster in another container was control. The
animals were deprived of sleep during the exposition time (2 hours).
30 experiments were conducted and 20 additional tests were carried out under
conditions as described above but the animals were in the condition of
sleep. Morphometrical studies of cells of the basal layer of epidermis and
quantitative DNA analysis were applied for  results estimation.
The volumes of cellular nuclei in skin microscopic sections were determined
in experimental and control groups. The decrease of nucleus volumes came to
16,54 per cent (mean number) in experimental group comparing with control
group.
Quantitative DNA analysis showed the decrease of DNA level in epidermal
cells to 10,12 per cent (see table). The decrease of morphofunctional
activity was not marked in the experiments where the transformed light
didn't get upon the retina.
Thus, the light beam passing through the skin section in the state of
necrosis and getting on the retina of a hamster causes the process of
dystrophy in the cells of the basal layer of epidermis.
Analogous results  were   obtained     in experiments carried out under
conditions as described above but the light beam was passing through the
blood smear containing partly damaged erythrocytes. The results showed the
decrease of osmotic resistance of erythrocytes in the blood of hamsters. So
the presented phenomenon can be a general property of a living organism.
The cellular electromagnetic information transmission through the structures
of optic analyser probably differs from the system of perception of optic
images. It functions probably by means  of radiation induction from cell to
cell similar to mitogenetic effect. The concrete mechanisms of this
phenomenon reguire further investigation.

                                              Informational Function of
Photons -
                                              Approaches to Practical
Application.


       The function of   photons   as    information  transmitters  in the
level of cells is one
of   the   most   intensively   investigated   domains.   Experimental  data
confirming  the
existence  of    cell    information   transmission system  in living
organisms functioning
by means of photons were obtained earlier.
       Photons   are   not   the   simple markers of   biophysical
processes,   they probably
control directly these processes.
       The   experimental     results   indicate   that  the   system  of
cellular   information
transmission   probably   functions   in the structures of nervous  system.
As   it   was
shown   in  the  previous experiments, during      the light   beam
passage   through the
necrobiotically   altered  cell   layer   and   getting   upon    the
retina     the    decrease
of  morphofunctional  activity   and  development  of  dystrophy  of
cells  of   the same
type in living organisms was observed.
       The   alterative   processes  are  expressed  only  to  some   extent
in a case of short
exposition, at the same time the reduced influence stimulates the process of
regeneration.
       The     principle    described    above  was  applied  for  invention
of  new treatment
method  -   Informational-Quantum Phototherapy. Particularly this method  is
effective
for    treating    chronic   gastrointestinal diseases: gastritis, gastric
and  duodenal   ulcer,
colitis, noncalculous  cholecystitis.    Clinical    examination  revealed
the effectiveness
 of the method in monotherapy and complex therapy.
       Earlier  in  experimental series  on   laboratory  animals   the
results   that   became
the   basis   for the development of the method mentioned above were
obtained.
       The   influence   upon     the     retina     by    light    beam
passing     through   the
microscopic  section  of  necrobiotically altered intestinal mucosa was
applied.
        The time of exposition  lasted  2 hours.   Morphofunctional
activity  of   glandular
cells  of   intestinal   mucosa   was   studied.    The   results   were
estimated according
to   morphometry   and   quantitative   DNA       analysis.   The decrease
of   activity  of
intestinal   glandular   cells   was     revealed within 2-8 hours after the
experiment.   The
 decrease   of  nucleus volumes   came   up  to 12,85 per cent (mean number)
comparing
 with    control group.    Quantitative   DNA  analysis   revealed    the
decrease  of DNA
level to 9,32 per cent.
       Processes  of  regeneration  were obvious   in  12-24   hours  after
the  experiment .
The regeneration   increase was observed within 48 hours.       If  the time
of exposition
was shortened,    regeneration  appeared to be prevailing process.
       Thus, the main factor of treating chronic gastrointestinal diseases
by means  of   new
 method   is mucosa  regeneration  stimulation .
