Dear Group, I know this is off-topic a bit, but it does relate to the reputation of alternative medicine in a way.
I recently saw a sign that said WORK FROM HOME call 1-800-123-4567 and I did and I was then led through a series of myterious hoops or ordering material over the phone, getting a booklet in the mail, being directed to a website, and so on and after jumping through a 36 dollar hoop allegedly refundable, I learned I was being lured in by one of Herbalifes downlines. I t was tempting to get sucked in by them. But I opted for a refund. I was offended by the marketing tacktics of this one g roup. THen tonight in the same spot was another sign that read work from home go to www.your jobsucks.com or something like that. I can recall just now. I did and the come on was very similar to the other hoop jumping routine that turned out to be Herbalife. I have written both groups telling them what I think of these deceptive marketing practices. I got as far as getting a "mentor" (read that high pressure sales person)they imply you can start for under 300 bucks and be making thousands a week in a just a few weeks, and when you look at the numbers, in order to really have a chance to do that you need to invest at least almost 3,000 dollars and be lucky. ANd be willing to drive around and pound deceptive work at home signs in places all over you city hoping you find a spot some other herbalife dealer did not beat you to. On the surface thought their products look good. but on deeper reflection they seem somehow flawed. Does anyone else here on this list have experience with Herbalife?
