I don't believe CS offers systemic protection. First of all, haven't we established that it doesn't even reach the intestines? My son, the one with the infection "down below", has been on about a dsp of CS every day for at least 2 months. Didn't stop this infection. I think what Ivan suggests is true. I gave CS to a lady who was incubating Whooping cough, didn't work, in that she got it several days later. May help with the severity, I haven't spoken to her since she got it, just heard she did.
