I would tend to agree that the lower the current DENSITY the smaller the particle size.
I use a full ounce 1.25 x 5.25 inches more or less of rolled-flat silver, and 4000 vots DC (the DANGEROUS CS MAKER oooohh...) with very good results. The stuff seems to be strong and stable. If I bring the electrodes closer together than about 1.5 inches at the bottom of the jar (I tried to compensate resistance for warmer water near the top when under way) I can get a colloid that's more golden rather than pale yellow. I attribute that to the higher particles/higher current density near the bottom of the batch when the electrodes are that close together. So I'm relying in this case on the resistance of the water and larger size of the electrode surface to reduce the current density at 4000 volts. A 1 quart batch takes 2 minutes and it's quite strong. Very lip-smacking. Very effective. I don't know how strong in PPM. ciao Duncan ----- Original Message ----- From: <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Tuesday, December 12, 2000 8:43 AM Subject: Re: CS>Progress report w/ingot | In a message dated 12/12/00 0:19:05 AM EST, [email protected] writes: | | << Subj: Re: CS>Progress report w/ingot | Date: 12/12/00 0:19:05 AM EST | From: [email protected] (Marshall Dudley) | Reply-to: [email protected] | To: [email protected] | | I am not surprised.
