The sample that is tested for particle size is directly out of the bottle. 
Since ions are dissolved, they do not scatter laser light and so are not seen 
by the PCS.

The particles are removed by 350,000 G-force centrifugation. After the 
particles are removed the AAS is used to measure the remaining ions, thus 
determining ionic content.

Since a PCS only sees particles since ions do not scatter light.

The zeta potential sample is also directly out of the bottle.
