Brooks' attachment was simply an HTML page and did not contain a virus.
I suggest folks without an antivirus program download AVG from :
www.grisoft.com   its free (with free updates) and very good.

While it does not check incoming mail in outlook express, it will check and
clean outgoing mail, and clean up viruses during the daily scan.
I have just started using outlook98 as my e-mail client and AVG does scan
incoming mail, it has removed three virus containing attachments, and
certified others as clean, as it did with Brooks.
