Hi everyone! Let me offer a brief refresher in managing your subscription, since questions like June's come up all the time and are usually handled quietly in the background. Remember, I'm *always* willing to help, whenever needed, but I *much* prefer you to all learn the ropes and be able to do these things for yourselves... June, if you can still access the [email protected] address, which you obviously can, then please unsubscribe yourself from that address as follows... Being sure you're logged in via mindspring, start a *new* e-mail message with the word 'unsubscribe' in the Subject field and send it to the list control address: [email protected] Notice that this is *not* the same address you post messages to, and be sure 'unsubscribe' is spelled correctly. You'd be surprised how often people mispell the words 'subscribe' and 'unsubscribe!' If you're on the digest instead of the regular list distribution, just send your commands to the *digest* control address, which is: [email protected] If it's going to work, you'll get a note from the list server telling you that you've been unsubscribed. Now, hang up and re-login from your new hercurian.com account. Start another new message with the word 'subscribe' in the Subject field, and send it to the same address you used above, to subscribe your new address to the list or digest, as desired. These addresses and admittedly terse instructions for doing this are included in the footer at the bottom of *every* message from the list, for future reference. If you have *any* problems, send me a private e-mail and I'll run the commands through manually. I'm getting closer to having the time and knowledge to set up web-based subscription management features for the silver-list. Until then, I beg your indulgence in dealing with the somewhat arcane controls provided by the existing software. Thank you!
