Dear Argentums Has anyone being following the amazing Dr Jon and his self proclaimed ingenious generic-co-op.
I subscribe to his newsletter to keep an eye on him after his unreserved support for Frank's paradoxical silver chloride hypothesis. This is junk-mail at its very worst. It looks like snake-oil and encyclopedia catalogue-sales rolled into one. Essentially, anti-science is presented as science via a Ph.D., eg, first, gelatin will be used only if certified as Mad Cow Disease free, or it will be substituted with vegecaps. Later, gelatin is assumed to be safe because heat processing is thought to destroy all pathogens. Apparently the good doctor does not know that there is currently no affordable and reliable test for prions, nor apparently, that they are accepted by all experts to be essentially heat stable. But who are we to question? Unlike the Silver List, there is no discussion for all to see and respond, just cheap propaganda. (Dr John is on this list, so this post is not at all behind his back) Circulation is now up to a claimed 50,000. Claims to not accept advertising, but the entire list is a piece of non-stop hype-product self-advertising. Claims to have analysed all of the opposition products and to either stock those rare ones which actually contain sufficient actives, or if none, claims to supply only his own which will do so. Does not mention names to expose the "culprits" as a good citizen should, so it sounds like just one of the oldest cheap sales tricks in the book. Strangely, nothing more is mentioned about Dr Jon's colloidal particle silver, in spite of the original fanfare, including Frank's silver chloride angle and his apparent endorsement of the superiority of Dr Jon's product. Oddly, now simple colloidal silver generator instructions are all the vogue. What happened to the good stuff which was being so extensively tested and was to be given away for free to those who could not afford it? What has led the good doctor, who Frank insisted "is not selling anything" and defended as a humanitarial philanthropist, to do an apparently 180 degree directional change and join the ranks of all the other snake-oil vendors on the web, albeit with a huge dose of claimed, yet unsubstantiated superiority. Forgive me if this sounds offensive, but I am only sharing and questioning. Regards Stuart -- The silver-list is a moderated forum for discussion of colloidal silver.
