ST: Ole Bob was clearly discussing sublingual absorption and was attempting to
suggest ways of optimising same. Under such conditions he would not be adding
hydrochloric acid or even salt to the equation. I don't recall anyone on this
list denying that chloride complexes with silver. What I disputed, was that
this was the end of the line for silver's biological utility, primarily because
I had identified the already well-established potential for ammonia to
redissolve the silver ions and also the apparent fortuitous presence of ammonia
both in the saliva and intestinal/colonic lumen, the two main sites for likely
ionic colloidal silver absorption.

Chloride only features in this equation and in mere traces if the colloid was
produced via the addition of saline to facilitate the fast production method,
and I believe that salivary ammonia is sufficient to maintain silver's ionic
availability under such conditions. I encourage my AIDS patients to constantly
atomise colloidal silver into the mouth and I applaud Bob's honest efforts to
emphasise the relatively high potential of sublingual use for optimised
absorption of ionic colloidal silver.

The reason that I raised the intestinal lumen ammonia issue, is that I don't
believe that hydrochloric acid secretion in the stomach spells the end of
silver that is swallowed, again because of said fortuitous presence of
relatively high concentrations of ammonia at the lumen, which is where it all
happens and really matters, and especially considering the strong inhibitory
effect of ammonia on chloride secretion precisely there as well.

I have long taken cognisance of the effect of chloride when suggesting the use
of ionic colloidal silver, and hence my suggestions of the addition of H2O2 and
2/5ths of the freshly produced colloid's consumption on an empty stomach first
thing in the morning, either following a glass of magnesium peroxide (highly
alkaline and neutralising of active hydrochloric acid) or added to the
colloidal silver water and with a suggested bowel evacuation prior to colloid
consumtption. The remaining 3/5ths are recommended for consumption between
meals and just prior to retirement, also to minimise the chloride effect.

I also recommend a high alkaline, strict vegan, low protein / low grain (gluten
protein) diet during the first 30 days of my protocol, if not for longer,
indeed preferably indefinitely, and this serves to very significantly reduce
the secretion of hydrochloric acid in the stomach, since especially
concentrated and undigested protein is the main stimulus for its high secretion
rate in the first place. I briefly list some of the worst acid forming "foods"
to be avoided for health recovery (in decreasing order and with relative acid
secretion stimulus values): oysters (5.0), bacon (5.0), veal (3.5), fish (3.5),
meat & fowl (3.0), eggs (3.0), grains (3.0), nuts - excl almonds & Brazils
(2.0), legumes, (1.5) peanuts (1.0).

I believe that whilst Frank has done silver-listers a favour by bringing the
importance of the potentially negative effect of chloride to their attention,
he has also done them a huge disservice by being so dogmatic in his narrow
approach to the subject. Clearly he has not been entirely fair in his
presentation of the facts. If he had, he would have brought ammonia into the
equation, since the counter-effect is of the textbook stuff he insists that we
all stick to. Two graphic examples, including a new colour photo of the basic
principles in action are posted on my website at
http://www.gaiaresearch.co.za/silver.html

In the interests of advancing our understanding of colloidal silver, let us
please stop being petty and over-sensitive, but please let us also be open to
criticism and free to express ourselves. My earlier allegedly offensive remarks
were reasonably, albeit briefly motivated. My challenge to Frank to explain his
offensive remarks remains open, in spite of other's attempts to police freedom
of expression. If this list will not allow open debate, I am challenging Frank
go to my website debating forum "THE FREE RADICAL: The Editor Speaks Out ....
and Visitors Back-Chat" and explain himself there without fear of censorship at
 http://pluto.beseen.com/boardroom/k/53454/

If Frank does take up the challenge, would he please be so kind to inform the
list. If he does not do so, I will allow his declining to do so to speak for
itself.

Regards

Stuart
