Gaston: I really don't see the need to first make a silver copper alloy to generate copper and silver ions electrolytically. Why not use a circular silver sheet placed in a round plastic cap. On the side of the silver sheet facing the DW place a copper disc with a hole in it. Experiment with the hole size until the ratio of copper and silver ions is about 10/1 which, as I recall, optimizes germicidal activity.
