Gaston: I really don't see the need to first make a silver copper alloy to generate copper and silver ions electrolytically. Why not use a circular silver sheet placed in a round plastic cap (a silver wire can enter from the backside of the plastic cap to complete the half-call circuit). On the side of the silver sheet facing the DW, place a copper disc with a hole in it. Experiment with the hole size until the ratio of copper and silver ions is about 10/1 which, as I recall, optimizes germicidal activity. Roger
