Checked the site on the algaebar. It appears to be silver and copper. Web site talks about someone who used it in a koy pond and the koy were happy! My experience was quite different. When I put a VERY small amount of CS into the aquarium, it killed all the fish. There were some small goldfish and two koy in the tank.
As a water purification method, maybe it works well. suzy
