In order to measure the concentration of particles you must first measure total silver, then measure ionic silver, then subtract ionic from total to get particles. There is no cheap way to do it. For gold, HVAC does not make ionic gold, so the total gold is all particles. For more info on how to make the measurements see the paper titled "Determining the Properties of Colloidal Silver".
