I came across a site many months ago: http://mizar5.com/omedia1.htm. This beleaguered dentist advocated flossing, brushing and irrigation with a WaterPik twice a day to keep you out of the dentist's office forever. I use H2O2 in mine, but you can use salt, mouth wash or any of the expensive, fancy products sold elsewhere. I got very excited and started right away. I have been pretty faithful (sometimes, right before bed it is just too much to water pik). When I went to see my dentist for a little bite problem, he found one tiny spot of tartar on a waaay back tooth. He said to start and stop with that tooth, keep up with the protocol and he might never need to see me again. Bless his little heart. I told my sister about it and she not only does her teeth but she uses it to clean under her long, artificial nails. You can even get a device for nasal and throat irrigation. They are wondrous machines. Everyone should have one and we can all think of even more fun and ingenious uses for it. Bev
