To combat a cold you need to contact the virus with the CS.
Gargling, spraying in the eyes, ears and especially up the nose, and if it
descends to the bronchia's breathing the spray or nebulising is the best
 course.

Neither the Beck method nor the Dr John method are optimal, in my
opinion...better to ditch the air bubbling and up the voltage to 12V (or
higher if using current limiting), mechanical stirring if required.

No point in getting upset if it doesn't work for you, despite all the hype
that can be found, CS is just an aid, not a replacement for a healthy immune
 system.

 Ivan.

Ivan: I haven't forgotten about you old man. However, I DID misplace your
post about the possibility of producing a Lewis acid during CS generation.
You posted it around June 4th. If you can find it, please send it directly to
me. There are still a few issues I'd like to discuss with you about the
species produced at both electrodes (based on overvoltage, not standard
voltage considerations) during CS production. Since no one seems to be
participating (or interested) except you (I hope you are, anyway) and me ,
perhaps we should have this discussion off list. What do you think? Roger
