   I take about 3 oz a day and caught a cold as well...one right after the
 other.  But, they were the only colds I've had in 3 years and neither
 lasted very long or was very severe. The first was worse than the second,
 perhaps because I guzzled about 20oz per day of CS on the second cold and
 not the first.
  That's not proof of anything.  How would I know what diseases I "didn't"
 get or how long they would have lasted without CS?
  It does show that CS isn't 100% as a preventative.
  It may show that the replication rate of bugs can be higher than the kill
 rate of low dose CS.

Ken: One of the things I've been thinking about is the body's tendency to 
generate mucous during and at the beginning of a cold, and how THAT mucous 
may inhibit both contact with the infection, and/or absorption into the 
bloodstream. One idea I came up with is to use, for example, a nasal 
decongestant during such a period, so that a nebulized CS can be absorbed 
more effectively. Comments? Roger
