That is a rather absurd statement. The control of the procedure and the purity
of the raw materials is totally under the person's control, and thus can be
either sloppy, or highly regulated. Sounds like they are saying that if you
buy distilled water, instead of them buying it, it will lack purity. Pure
marketing BS.

Yeah, right. More marketing BS.

I have read somewhere that to sell CS it must be made by the method of
production prior to 1938 which was according to what I read the HVAC method.
The article had indicated that it is illegal to make and sell LDVC CS. But I
have never seen anything from the FDA on this and have my doubts if it is true.

That is 50 milligrams per liter, or 50 ppm. From what I understand that is
impossible. If they are atoms, they are ions, not colloid, and the maximum
solubility of silver ions in room temperature water is reported to be about 10
ppm. Sounds like more marketing hype with no basis in fact to me.

50.

Well, in most cases it probably would be illegal to sell it. First of all the
labeling must comply with strict regulations, which included what it contains,
and a nutritional facts box as well as the net weight. It must say that it is
not to prevent or cure any diseases. If you label it properly, then it is most
likely not illegal to sell, unless the HVAC vs LVDC argument above is true.

However it is all in the labeling. If for instance you were to sell and label
it for use in chemistry experiments, or as a Christmas tree life extender, then
the FDA would not be involved at all. You cannot control how a person uses it
after purchasing it.

You see this all the time. I.E.. you can pay a lot for diatomaceous earth that
is FDA approved or pay a little for the same thing that is labeled for animals
only. Well, I am an animal, so what's the difference? Just the labeling, and
FDA oversight. (another one is the antibiotic polymyxin. You can buy it off the
shelf for a few bucks for a large tube, but if you go to the doctor with an eye
infection he will likely prescribe the same thing in a small tube for the eye,
that is very expensive. Prior to discovering CS I use to forget the doctor and
simply use the stuff in the over the counter tube.)
