It's hard to keep that concentration without additives, as I understand it. I've seen CS cure many stray cats that happen by (and manage to stick around :) with the CS I put in the outdoor animal water. When I see a sick stray I up the concentration from about .1 ppm (1/10) to about 2 ppm -- and all strays have gotten well. One had a horrible cough, diarrhea, hair loss, etc. She's now quite healthy (as are her kittens). A raccoon happened by that seemed to have distemper, lack of bodily control at times, passing out, etc. I again upped the CS concentration and after about 3 days he seemed back to normal (a little weak and slow, but no evidence of distemper). I started using CS for the outdoor water to keep the algae out, and it seems almost any concentration of CS works for that. I can now fill the 2-1/2 gallon waterer every week without having to clean out the crud. -- Dean -- from (almost) Des Moines -- KB0ZDF -- The silver-list is a moderated forum for discussion of colloidal silver.
