Nancy-----Fresh Thyme may save you------ take a handful of fresh thyme to 1 quart of water . Boil, then reduce heat and simmer, covered for 20 minutes. Strain and you have safe drinking water/CS making water, try it and see if it helps get that ppm to the right level. Its supposed to work. You can make toothpaste by soaking three handfuls of fresh thyme in 1 cup brandy(I don't drink, but I would get a tiny bottle and try this anyway)for about 5 hours. A soft to medium bristled brush can be dipped in this solution and the teeth cleaned with it each day. This solution is good for about 4-6 brushings or 2 days use before more needs to be made. For health tonic soak 6 fresh or dried sprigs of thyme in 1 1/2 cups fine brandy for 5 days, shaking several times a day. Take several teaspoonfuls of this throughout the day when you feel cold or flu coming on. for lung congestion, bronchitis, cold and flu, put 1 1/2 handfuls of fresh thyme in 2 pints boiling water, covered and away from the heat, and steep for 40 minutes, strain to use. For congestion, use it as a hot compress(wet towel with it and put on chest). I found this in Heinermans Fruits, Vegetables and Herbs book. Elaine
