Hi Nina,
Many years ago, about 25, several of my friends were in the antique/second
hand business and jewelry was one of the things they bought and sold. I
recall hearing that the silver jewelry from Mexico wasn't the same quality
as sterling. I never knew the purity or what other metals were in it, but
it was considered inferior, albeit attractive :)
Eleanor
List,
I would like some feedback about the post I made over a week ago concerning
"Mexican" silver. To be brief, from my jewelry crafting connections
"Mexican" silver usually contains lots of nickel and other metals,
everything BUT silver.
Were people talking about buying "Mexican" silver, or silver from Mexico?
If there's someone who knows something about "Mexican" silver that I don't,
I'd appreciate hearing it.
Thanks.
Nina "Colloidal" Silver
