I received my samples of Silverlon bandages a couple days ago.
Coincidentally I had a sick kitten bite me on Sunday.
I took the opportunity to use a very small piece of the bandage to
treat the finger that was definately infected, in spite of treating with
regular bandaids soaked with CS/DMSO.
I am a diabetic requiring oral antibiotics in the past for cat bites.
(before learning about CS).
Below is the posting I sent, with explanation to the
CSCats list.
I cut a tiny square from my silverlon bandage and applied to my cat
bite yesterday.
This AM 24 hours later, the bandaging was removed.
This is the first morning in several days I did not need to reopen the
wound to remove infection. There was the start of red trails down the finger
yesterday also,
today there are none.
The infection seems to be under control and the size of the finger is
nearly back to normal.
Also the pain was nearly gone.
