No ways! NEVER give CS to rabbits orally - nor to ruminants (cud chewers) Both these types of herbivores (plant eaters) cannot chew their food thoroughly enough to break all the cellulose cell walls. So they rely on their resident flora of bacteria and Protists to digest away the walls of their plant food so that the nutritious contents are released. The CS would destroy this flora and so the animals would starve. Ruminants house their friendly flora in one of their 5 stomachs. They regurgitate to give the released plant matter another chew. Rabbits are coprophagous which literally means filth eaters - they eat their feaces! This is because their friendly flora are located way down the gut in the caecum. Wild rabbits graze warily all night and then retire to their burrows for the daytime. The plant food goes thro the gut and the wall-digesting flora in the caecum do their work..Soft droppings are voided and re-eaten. The second time thro' the gut, absorption of the released nutrients occurs and the droppings voided are the familiar dry hard little balls. (NB excellent for immediate fertilising of roses, pot plants etc - they are not "hot" like other animal manure) A rabbit with diarrhoea is doomed because the food shoots thro the gut too fast for the flora to do their stuff and they won't re-eat the faeces. So never give your rabbit lettuce or cabbage as these leaves induce diarrhoea. Lesson over! Hope this enlightens you and BT.
