Yup, it does.
So does a drop of honey.
But we were describing an answer for the simplest and least expensive way for a
non-electronic newbie to get her silver slippers wet.
There are numerous refinements to pick up on from here.

I did say that distilled water was the preferred method but I would not hesitate
to brew a batch from tap water. In fact that was how I started.

That's probably why I never use recipes from a cookbook..
They all start off with "Take a clean pot..."
It's a guy thing!
