But when I last bought mine - God that was years ago, it was shipped in a plastic container. In fact I still use the same container when I travel but I store mine in glass under the sink out of the sun. There is a type of plastic that is ok and some that are not. This isn't the answer but it is an answer. Likely someone else on the list knows more.
