Bob, I add H2O2 to CS as a part of a microbe=fighting therapy. Brooks Bradley said he found the two together 10X more effective than either one separately.
I had a batch of CS that I had overcooked and "burned", and it had turned dark gold, almost brown. I added (in one quart of CS) 5-6 drops of H2O2, and within minutes the CS was crystal clear. I thought this was wonderful, but the next day, I could see a layer of fine grey powder on the bottom of the jar. I've only done this once, so it may be some kind of fluke. I've got some more gold stuff, I'll try it again.
