Hi Frank, I think the spelling should be Interstitial Pulmonary Fibrosis. Dorlands pocket medical dictionary mentions diffuse and idiopathic Interstitial Pulmonary Fibrosis; chronic inflammation and progressive fibrosis of the pulmonary alveolar walls, with steady progressive dyspnea. My guess is that if the fibrosis is being caused by micro organisms then CS would indeed be beneficial. Maybe Brooks has done work on this. You might cautiously try his nebuliser route.
