I appreciated what Jason (AVRA) said to Julie about health being improved by adopting a healthier lifestyle, not just be taking a pill. He said, In natural medicine, one doesn't "apply a treatment" per se, one really chooses a direction. The medical attitude is, Here, this pill will make your symptoms go away. When I was in high school, I was going to an allergy doctor for my allergies (sinus drain, dry, itchy skin, low energy). I went to several allergy doctors all through high school (one of them died), received 3 years worth of de-sensitization shots, took numerous pills, used numerous creams, salves, baths, etc. At no time during all this did any of the doctors ask me what I ate. They also accomplished only one goal: the acquisition of my parents money.
Later on down the road I became desperate. I could not hold down a job because I didnt have the energy to last for 8 hours; I went to 3 doctors in a row, seeking to know if maybe I had some serious disease. Here I discovered that, when a doctor doesnt know what is wrong with you, he doesnt say, Gee, I dont know whats wrong with you. He says, Its all in your head. Since I was born covered with allergies, and had had low energy since birth, I knew it wasnt all in my head. THATS when I began to read books about alternative health ideas, and found that there was more than one way to approach improved health. Julie, Jason put his finger on the central issue: If your friend has become desperate, if she will consider doing more than just taking some pills, (or drinking a bit of CS), there is hope for her. If she isnt willing to abandon her faith in doctors (or at least set it aside for a bit), she is not likely to find a magical elixir (including CS) that will be adequate for her problems. I have had clients with issues like what you describe, and the ones who have taken comprehensive steps have experienced sometimes miraculous results. People have been known to experience amazing improvement by taking large amounts of Colostrum. Others by drinking CS as Jason suggested (though I would start off much smaller right at first because of the possible Herxheimers). Oh, yes, The Herxheimers Effect. Being new, Julie, you may not have run into this one. Put simply, the Herxheimers effect happens (once in awhile) with a person who takes CS for the first time. This phenomenon occurs because the CS may kill pathogens so efficiently that the body cannot get rid of the dead pathogens fast enough through the normal eliminative organs (bladder and colon), so it resorts to the secondary ones (lungs, skin, sinuses). This produces a healing crisis that looks and feels like a cold/flu, and can be quite disagreeable. It is usually resolved by avoiding CS for a day or two, then starting again with a smaller dose. The whole thing can be avoided by simply starting off with a tiny amount (1/4 teaspoon) the first day, then doubling the amount until you reach 2 teaspoons per day. At that point, if you arent experiencing the Herx, use as much as you want. Jason's suggestions were excellent. Jason said, Simple things include plenty of good water, fresh lemon water, uncooked garlic, natural whole foods... Things that will invigorate the body rather than deplete it, to start. Good water means, of course, water that is minus toxic substances. The juice from ½ lemon, fresh, in a glass of good water each day has more value than most people know. Garlic has a long historical record of benefits. ..you don't look for "a treatment", you start to apply an ideology, and the ideology must be one that the person can integrate into their current state of being. Speaking from my own philosophy/experience, your friend also may need to participate in a therapy that galvanizes her inner healing mechanism. With my own clients, I try to determine what they are willing to consider, in terms of therapy approaches. Some of them are willing to consider such esoteric and radical ideas (in contrast to mainstream medical) such as bioelectrical devices, colon and parasite cleansing, and even healing prayer. Recently, one of my clients did a liver-gall bladder flush, and felt much better for it. Most of my clients wouldnt consider such a thing. Then, there is the limitation of finances. Even if they are willing, many times they cannot afford to. Bummer. I hope your friend can flex enough to look outside the parameters of modern medicine.
