Good Morning Peggy, I shall translate the gobbley gook for you.
PWT is a Pure Water Tester for measuring the conductivity of DW or CS. It can be used to give an indirect measure of the amount of silver ions in the CS. AA is for Atomic Adsorption testing of CS to determine the amount of silver in the CS. It will measure both ionic and particulate silver. uS/cc is for microSeimens per cubic centimeter. It is the scientific method of measuring the conductivity of a liquid. ug/ml is the weight of silver in micrograms per milliliter of water in the CS. It is the same measure as PPM which is parts per million of silver in the CS. mg/l is the same as the above but each side of the / has been multiplied by 1000. 1 ug/ul is equal to 1 mg/l. The #1 one disaster is trying to make CS without knowing the quality of the DW. Not all DW is created equal. The best and simplest test for water quality is to measure the cell current when you first start the brew. I know many do not have a digital multimeter in there system. That is like trying to navigate on the ocean without a compass. The DMM tells you the water quality and the end pit as to when to shut off the power. One does not need a PWT if they have a DMM (digital multimeter. Any more questions??? "Ole Bob" -- The silver-list is a moderated forum for discussion of colloidal silver.
