If you dont clean your silver rods often enough and they get black, thus the CS
gets dirty looking, you will need to strain. When this happens to me, I use
either a paper towel or a cofee filter, and they seem to work quite well. Seems
the bigger the particles the more you need to strain... Hope this helps some,
