I just joined this list because a relative gave me a colloidal silver generator, and being more holistically oriented than allopathic, am interested in natural ways of promoting good health. I learned about you from the welpet list. I live with 10 dogs (6 shelties, 4 beardies) which are all in robust health at the moment (fed mostly BARF - about 80% ; I fall back on Innova for some of the non-meaty bone meals) and want to learn how colloidal silver can be useful as perhaps a nutritional supplement for both myself and the dogs, as well as uses should any of us become ill.
The generator I was given was purchased through Silver Bullet Enterprises out of Lenwood, Ca. the People recommending these units really pushed them during the y2K scare, and subsequently published a manual on bioterrorism which is quite pricey which is also pushing the generator, along with gas masks, safe rooms, protective suits, etc. One of the individuals cited in the 2nd manual was identified as a white supremacist and was convicted of wire fraud after obtaining plague pathogens fraudulently. Nevertheless, IMO the above does not invalidate the use of colloidal silver. Do some of you on this list use this unit? Mine is the 3 9- volt battery model . Do you use a saline solution as the manufacturers recommend? Is there any danger from silver chloride turning skin grey-blue? Do you use is routinely as a supplement for yourself or pets, or only when someone gets sick? How do you know when your solution is strong enough to be effective? I am a "senior citizen" - are there any special precautions for us old folks? Naive questions, but this is all new to me. I'm looking forward to being educated with an open mind.
