Hi-I'm fairly new to this list and I'm very excited (not to mention, a little overwhelmed!) by the wealth of information and expertise available here. I'm eager to make CS-there are directions for making it at Generic co-op, using a 6 volt DC transformer and a couple of Canadian Maple Leaf coins, but it's for just 8 oz. Since I live with 4 dogs, two cats and a human partner, making a larger quantity each time would be preferable. Also, it takes 5 hours-would anything adverse happen to the brew if I let it run for more time-say, 8 or 9 hours? Are wires better than the coins? Thank you! -Kathryn
