How long did you leave your timeer running on the batches?  Sounds like you
had the generator on too long or the temp of the water too high.

The only time I've made gold coloured CS was when the room temperature was
above 33 degrees C.  I try to kkeep between 21 and 33 degrees C for CS
making.  20 mins with 3 x 9 volt batteries.

Kills whtever makes chicken and meat dangerous in dilution - so must be
strong enough!
