What you've coughed up is what your body and CS has dealt with already - viz mucus, dead bacteria and white blood cells that have died in the battle! ie the job has already been done so you can't expect any further change. I reckon you should nebulise CS so it can get right in there and help your lungs at the site of the still continuing battle.
