But...........now I need some advice on some options other than steroids to get my asthma under control. It all began a couple of days after thanksgiving with a cold. The whole family got it, and none of my traditional "alternative" therapies seemed to help. This weekend I put 3 drops of CS into each of my nostrils, as well as my childrens every half hour during the day while we were awake. Our noses are finally running clear but are still stuffy. On Saturday, my asthma began to give me problems and I started to take my inhaler (albuterol). It wasn't working. I have been nebulizing with albuterol, then nebulizing with CS as well as taking Mullein Lung complex (Platycodon root, Ephedra Stem, Ophiopogon Rhizome, Elecampane root, Licorice root, ginger root, cinnamon twig and wild ginger herb) for the past 24 hours and I still can't seem to get my asthma under control. I have also stopped eating the wrong foods, but I know it will take some time for that to help. I am beginning to get worried about my breathing and I know if I end up in the hospital for it that they will give me IV steroids amongst other things. Steroids reak havoc on my body for months after I take them and I DON'T want to go there. We have a bunch of brilliant minds here, and many people who have had experience with many things...................any suggestions?
