Nick, Whose CS are they using and how is it made. If it is commercial and made by the HVAC ARC method it can have a pH of 1.9 to 2.2 which is very acid. If the maker used a CO2 gas blanket then the acid is carbonic like soda pop. but if the gas cover on the brew cell is air then it is NITRIC ACID, and that is BAD news.
CS made by the LVDC is basically about 6 pH and should not cause problems. Five to ten part per million of silver in distilled water should not have that kind of effect.
